mine is a quarterly digital publication that aims to provide a safe space for mixed-race people in Singapore to discuss the problems they face. It also aims to showcase their diversity in the spheres of cross-cultural identity, by using fashion as a means for self-expression.
At the heart of the project is a desire to establish a more inclusive society and country that looks beyond labels and limitations. Grounded by intimate conversations, mine uses fashion to tell the stories of eight individuals of mixed ethnicity.
Danisha’s own lived experience as someone of ‘chindian’ descent pushed her to create a purposeful project for other members of the mixed-race community.
