Armed with a holistic global vision and an innate understanding of what makes a fashion “moment”, Rayn’s works weave creative brilliance and superior execution which not only pulls in attention, but commands it as well.
화랑 (Knights of Tomorrow) blends an enthusiasm for the Korean bands BTS, NCT, and Girls Generation with the idea of a new Singaporean male identity. Despite the fact that the local male aesthetic is so distinctive and deserving of respect, the industry consistently under-utilises local male models.
Working with local business like SPADESROOM, and assembling local male models from different modelling agencies, this project featured talents like Drew Teo, Shane Tan, Riche Tay, Eli Woo, Eugene Tan, Kaine Neo and Alex Foo. It was truly a curation of Singapore's up and coming names in the male modelling industry.
This effort is in many ways a call to action for the fashion media sector to showcase masculine imagery featuring more local talents in all of their creative endeavours.
