Annalisa (Ana) is a creative in her 20s searching for her place in the universe. Inspired by themes of melancholy, human emotions and poetic nuances, she strives to create work that is heartfelt and sincere. Specialising in art direction, makeup artistry and typography, Ana uses her different skillsets to shape works of unapologetic self-expression.

The Affliction of the Feminine is a fashion publication that aims to showcase, and subvert, the traditional conventions of femininity and its portrayal in contemporary media, highlighting the side of a woman that contains all her hysteria, pain, emotions and ugliness.

Employing the perspective and medium of self-portraiture, the publication seeks to reclaim a woman’s self, dress, sex, and body as her own. It focuses on female archetypes and breaking them.
