Andrea Sanchez Guajardo

Originally from Mexico and now based in Singapore, Andrea is a graduate of LASALLE's BA (Hons) in Fashion Design and Textiles programme. Andrea specialises in pattern cutting and advanced draping techniques, with construction at the core of her practice. Alongside this technical focus, she approaches fashion with a critical awareness of its role within the contemporary landscape, particularly in relation to ethics and social impact. She advocates for a shift away from overproduction and overconsumption and a more considered, slow approach to innovation that values quality, longevity and intentional design. Andrea's work bridges creative freedom and political messaging, using fashion as a platform for storytelling and engagement. Material, form and narrative come together to provoke thought and encourage a more conscious relationship between garment and wearer.
