Presenting her personal brand project, Tali Leher—which translates to "Tie" in Malay—this final-year project focuses on textile upcycling. The brand addresses the wastefulness of ties by repurposing them into accessories such as brooches and scarves. These creations are inspired by traditional Malay garments and elements, including the selendang, kerongsang, and the obi belt, which is traditionally tied around a woman's waist with a kebaya. While men's fashion tends to be simpler, the brooch serves as a detailed and elegant accessory. The project aims to offer a modernised aesthetic, while preserving Malay culture and showcasing its unique colours and patterns through the use of repurposed ties.

Tali Leher reimagines discarded ties as accessories, preserving Malay heritage through modern design, traditional motifs, and intricate cultural detailing.
