Sophie is an aspiring art director and stylist from Malaysia whose main inspirations are deeply embedded in her Southeast Asian heritage, and Asian culture at large. She uses these inspirations and fashion as a medium of expression to create contemporary works that speak of matters of the heart. Her works are a reflection of her persona and perspective.

Combining contemporary culture with tradition is a prominent aspect of Sophie’s works. She enjoys exploring with modern aesthetics and pop culture while remaining rooted in her cultural heritage and the language, colours and stories that make up her background.

Kembalilah is a digital publication that reimagines the current definition of batik as a response to sociopolitical issues occurring in Malaysia for the new generation through a contemporary fashion approach.
