Carin Joy Yap's works aim to encapsulate identities and experiences and provoke a reflection into oneself and the world through fashion as a medium of visual self-expression.

GIRLS’ WORLD is a publication that explores and celebrates the expression of feminine sexuality in the modern day, whilst reflecting on the subsequent consequences of that self-expression. GIRLS’ WORLD hopes to challenge traditional ideas of femininity and shed light on the nuances of navigating female sexuality in Singapore’s conservative and patriarchal society.
