Aetll is a fashion surrealism photographer and designer who constantly pushes the boundaries of fashion, art, and realism. Thriving at the intersections of fashion and fiction, her work creates a sense of balance between the absolute and the abstract, so as to inspire audiences to reimagine what fashion is, and what it can be.
Disillusionment of a Belief is a fashion film that aims to explore the intersection where faith and fashion coexist, and how one develops a sense of individuality within the boundaries of their faith. The film follows the narrative of one going through the process of questioning the self-perception, faith, and gradual acceptance, as well as rebirth that follows.
Many individuals owe a large part of the creation of their personalities or lives to their faith, whether intentional or not. Disillusionment of a Belief serves as an exploration of the relationship between faith and Self, and how one navigates the journey of self-discovery over the course of life. The space that faith inhabited is now a void filled with uncertainty; this project serves as a vessel to express the complexities of that void.
