MANG-A

Adelynn Wong Shu Yi

Singapore

Adelynn Wong Shu Yi or Adel is an energetic, fun, free-spirited visual artist. Adelynn enjoys creating meaningful and impactful concept imageries that are timeless, artistic and edgy. Adelynn always seeks to find balance between art and visual communication.

MANG-A is a publication that combines psychological trauma and fashion. It aims to shed light on the effects of psychological trauma and emotional grief through the lens of fashion.

MANG-A hopes to be a platform to address, redress or even resolve the emotional struggle and conflict when words cannot explain the complex emotion. It aims to destigmatise mental health and trauma by encouraging more conversations about this topic so people can understand how it is so easy for victims to get sucked into these horrible situations again and again instead of blaming them for staying. It seeks to also bring inspiration, awareness and reflection to anyone who might feel overwhelmed by the past, while finding people with shared experiences who want to practice self-care and healing to improve their emotional well-being.

MANG-A's objective is to use fashion to explore the unexplored trauma, beginning with vocalising and acknowledging the horror stories women dare not share.
