The Shapeshifter

Wyona Pang

Singapore

Wyona Pang is a design student from Singapore. She takes great pride in producing conceptual and well considered garments with special attention to fabric care and quality. She is constantly inspired by the world around, she believes that emotions and stories can be conveyed through design. As an aspiring artist and designer, she brings her enthusiasm forward into exploring possible fashion futures and sustainable solutions for the industry.

Being the next generation of creatives, Wyona Pang approaches her design in solving problems within a fast paced world, through the use of modularity. Having constantly worked with modular values, she utilises these aspects into transformable and experimental solutions.

Wonder is a multidisciplinary design lab, exploring wearable experiments.

“The Shapeshifter” is a new proposition for a fluid wardrobe. It offers choice to a wearer, and brings choice into the creation of an identity. The collection features a spectrum of aesthetics, every one distinct from one another – from the calm to the chaotic.

Utilising the values of modularity, the collection becomes an invitation for wearers to explore their different identities through the layers aesthetics. They are encouraged to continue their exploration and experimenting through the “how” in fashion and challenging how one would wear a certain garment.
