Kaffeine Pop

Kwon Min Kyoung
I am a Korean student studying Fashion Media and Industries, and I first moved to Singapore in 2022 to begin my overseas studies. Since then, I have experienced different cultural environments that have shaped the way I view fashion, identity, and communication. Experiencing life in a new country allowed me to grow as a person while adapting to unfamiliar environments and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. During my academic journey, I took a gap year and worked as an intern, where I gained new experiences and developed broader perspectives both creatively and personally. Interested in fashion, visual culture, and creative storytelling through research and design, I enjoy observing how people express themselves through style, media, and everyday life. Living abroad has also helped me become more adaptable and curious about different perspectives and experiences, allowing me to continuously grow both creatively and personally.
Kaffeine Pop is a research-driven project exploring how Korean Gen-Z express their fashion identity within cafe culture in Seoul. Through fieldwork, photography, interviews, and surveys, the project investigates cafes as cultural stages where fashion, social media, and self-expression intersect. Inspired by The Sartorialist and street-style documentation, the final outcome takes the form of an interactive website archive combining visual storytelling with cultural insight.
